Must...get...creative...

Hello everyone! (Or...no one. Because as of this moment, no one reads this blog. I'm sure that'll change soon though.) Those of you who do read it will most likely be people who know me already, so there's not much need for introduction. But I guess I could explain why I'm starting a blog. No, it's not so I can get hundreds of readers and become famous. It's just because I want to write. In high school, I wrote all the time. In college, I still write all the time. But...it's all research papers. Not exactly exciting stuff (though analyzing Faulkner's Absalom, Absalom or the symbolism of food in How the Garcia Girls Lost Their Accent had their charms).

This blog (I hope) will give me motivation to actually sit down and write out all the ideas I have filed away somewhere up there in this cluttered brain of mine. And if a few people out there enjoy reading my random ramblings, then that makes it even better. Hopefully I'll be able to recapture some of that creativity that undergraduate course work has bludgeoned out of me.

So, that's my thoughts on the blog. If you're wondering about the title, I'll explain at some point.
